Creating a system restore point is always essential for a windows user because it may help you recover your windows in case your windows dies with a blue screen error & you’re unable to recover it with other tools like startup. Its also & always recommended to create a system restore point if you’re going to install any application or program in your system, just in case it the program isn’t compatible or makes any unnecessary changes to your system. In this tutorial i will be showing you how to create a system restore point easily in windows 10.

How to Create a System Restore Point?

  • First of all, open up Explorer window by clicking on explorer icon from the taskbar or by searching from start menu.
  • Now in explorer window, right click on “This PC” & click properties.
  • Once the “System properties” window is loaded, click on “System Protection” from left sidebar & wait for next window to load.
  • When window is loaded, Make sure that the system drive is selected in the list & then click on “Create” button from the window.
  • Now a new window will appear, Type in a Name for your restore point & then click on create button & wait for it to make your system restore point.
  • That’s it, your system restore point will be created selected windows drive & you should see a “Successfully created” message on the screen.

How to Use a System Restore Point?

  • Open up Explorer window by clicking on explorer icon from the taskbar or by searching from start menu.
  • Now in explorer window, right click on “This PC” & click properties.
  • Once the “System properties” window is loaded, click on “System Protection” from left sidebar & wait for next window to load.
  • Once the window is loaded, click on “System Restore” button & wait for system restore wizard to appear.
  • Click on “Next” button & it will show you a list of created restore points, select the one you want to restore system to & click next again.
  • Finally, click on “Finish” button & your system restore point will use used & your system will be rolled back to the date you created the system restore point.

As said above, we also recommend you to create a system restore point every time you’re going to install a application or making any changes to the system & it would save your time, if anything happens to the system after the installation of the software, this few seconds process will save you!
